Green Receives High Marks Against UAPB; Real Test Coming

After a convincing 65-40 home victory over the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, the Marshall Thundering Herd football team finds itself sitting at 6-2, maintaining a 3-1 record in Sun Belt play.

Herd Dominates Second Half of Blowout Victory

Quarterback Henry Colombi threw for 188 yards and two touchdowns, while running back Khalan Laborn carried the ball 16 times for 91 yards and a touchdown.

The Herd's defense was also impressive, forcing three turnovers and holding UAPB to just 268 yards of total offense.

Green Earns High Marks for Performance

Former walk-on running back Rasheen Ali led the Herd in receiving with 79 yards and a touchdown on four catches.

However, Marshall's defense was the real story, as they limited an overmatched UAPB offense to 144 total yards in the second half.

Tougher Tests Loom as Sun Belt Title Hopes Hang in Balance

While the victory was encouraging, the team is now looking ahead to tougher tests in the coming weeks, with games against conference foes James Madison University and Old Dominion University on the horizon.

Marshall will need to continue to play at a high level if they want to stay in the race for the Sun Belt East Division title and reach the conference championship game.
